Vindonissa
In the Swiss town of Windisch in Aargau, the remains of a settlement Vindonissa where in the 1st century AD was broken parking Roman Legion. During excavations uncovered camp built - Command residence, barracks, hospitals, spas and barns. Also located on site is an ancient Roman amphitheater Vindonissa - one of the oldest buildings of the Roman era in Switzerland. Artifacts found in old age presented Vindonissa Museum in the nearby town of Brugg.
Excavations along the established theme park, educational trail called "Path of Legionnaires". During the tour, you can learn the history of the Romans stay in Switzerland and learn many interesting facts of everyday life in the ancient Roman military camp. Original drawings on here was rebuilt barracks and kontuberny where everyone can stay for the night. Legionnaires trail offers many exciting activities for the whole family. The route runs from April 1 to October 31. Located in the midst of Vindonissa minster Königsfeld known unique stained glass from the 14th century.
