Muggio Valley

Mudgee Valley, located in the canton of Ticino in the district of Mendrisio is a valuable natural monument in Switzerland. Its unspoiled nature is striking in its beauty and primeval. Mudgee is famous for its wild expanses, where you can observe a great variety of flora and fauna, including many rare species listed in the Red Book. At the bottom of the valley on the shores of the river Bragg is geo-park Breggiyskogo gorge. Along the river is a geological formation, which refers to the Jurassic and Tertiary periods, which occurred about 80 million years ago. On the rocks of the gorge traces of volcanic eruptions and submarine landslides, fossils and evidence of climatic changes that occurred long before humans. The park stretches for 1.5 kilometers along the coast of the river between the villages of Castel San Pietro, Balerno, Morbi Morbi Inferiore and Superiore.
