Waterfall on the Doubs

Du is one of the tributaries of the river Saone, flows on the Franco-Swiss border. On the French side of the banks of the river is the town of Villers-le-Lac, on the part of Switzerland - Les Brenets. The river was dammed by a landslide many centuries ago. Since then, for DN breaks through huge boulders, steep banks of limestone cliffs reach here a 80-meter height. Flowing through a deep gorge, the water forms the Lac de Brun, and a 27-meter waterfall Saut du Doubs, which due to its strength and beauty is a very popular natural attraction. Get to the waterfall you can walk for an hour from the station Brenets, or 10 minutes by boat tour. Either one walks guarantees amazing natural landscapes and the best possible experience.
