The Aletsch Glacier

Large Aletsch Glacier is located on the southern slope of the Bernese Oberland, in the territory of the Swiss canton of Valais. Covers an area of 24 kilometers in length. Aletsch known extraordinary beauty, its shape reminiscent of a huge riverbed. In 2001, the glacier was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Aletsch very popular as the largest glacier in Europe, here is the resort Aletsch Arena with the best ski slopes. Every year in this picturesque area attracts a large number of fans of winter sports. For guests there are all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay. There are many trails for both professionals and beginners, freestyle parks, playgrounds and training, toboggan run and the best hiking trails.
Glacier is located on the slopes of the highest mountain railway. A viewing platform, which extends to high-speed elevator opens up spectacular views of the entire territory of the Alps.
