Lake Brienz

Lake Brienz is located in the Swiss canton of Bern. Its total area is about thirty square kilometres and the depth is up to two hundred and sixty one metre. Several rivers fall into the lake: the Giessbach, the Lütschine and the Aar. On the north side of Lake Brienz, Brienzer Rothorn of about two thousand metres high can be seen. On the south side, there is Faulhorn Mount, the highest point of which is at an altitude of three thousand metres above sea level.
Giessbach Waterfall, the village of Ringgenberg and an old baroque church are located near the lake.
