Rainer Maria Rilke Foundation
Rainer Maria Rilke was one of the most celebrated poets of the 20th century. Foundation and Museum, dedicated to the works of Rilke, located in the center of the Swiss city of Sierre, in the historic 18th-century mansion. The poet himself lived in a small village Weir-sur-Sierre, close to the town, from 1921 to 1926.
The aim of the famous fund established in 1986, is an approximation to the author's creative activity through museum exhibitions, conferences, lectures, publications, poems and prose of Rilke.
The main exhibits of the museum are manuscripts, letters, books and photographs. For over ten years, every three years, the fund acts as an organizer of the festival, dedicated to the great European poets. The program includes a variety of concerts, theater and creative conference.
